1. Scope
This policy applies to the website draincleaningcolumbus.com (the "Site") and to calls placed to a phone number shown on it. It is operated by Drain Cleaning Columbus ("we", "us"). It does not cover the independent contractors you speak with; once you are talking to a contractor, their own privacy practices apply to anything you share with them.
2. How the service works
The Site is a call-in referral service. When you call the number shown, your own call is connected to an independent local drain-cleaning contractor, who speaks with you on that same call. There are no request forms, no online booking and no account to create. We do not collect your contact details so that anyone can contact you later.
3. Information we handle
When you call, the call-routing provider that connects your call processes the technical details needed to connect it, such as your phone number, the time and length of the call and the general area the call relates to. Calls may be recorded or routed by a call-tracking provider, which can log the details above for quality, training, dispute resolution and to confirm that a call was connected. Anything you say on the call about your property or the problem is heard by the contractor you are connected with.
When you browse the Site, the hosting provider automatically processes standard server data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the pages and keep the Site secure.
4. Information we do not collect
We do not ask for or collect email addresses, postal addresses, payment card details, government identification numbers or account passwords through the Site. The Site has no contact form. We do not build marketing lists.
5. How information is used
Call data is used to connect your call to a contractor, to keep records of calls placed, to look into complaints or disputes, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with law. Server data is used to operate, secure and improve the Site.
6. No outbound calls, texts, emails or marketing
By calling, you are not agreeing to receive calls, text messages, emails or marketing from us, and we do not send them. We do not pass your details to anyone so that they can contact you later. Anything arranged after your call, such as a visit time, is agreed between you and the contractor during that call.
7. Sharing
Call details are shared only as needed to connect and handle your call: with the call-routing provider and with the contractor your call is connected to, who hears what you tell them. Service providers that host the Site or route calls process data on our behalf under contract. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. Retention
Call records and recordings are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, including resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations, and are then deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
10. Security
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect the information we handle, including encrypted connections to the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be promised.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask for a copy, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and to opt out of any sale or sharing for targeted advertising (we do none). California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for using them.
To make a request, call the number on the Site and say you are making a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity, usually by matching the phone number used for the call. We respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time and why. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission.
12. Children
The Site is intended for adults responsible for a property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has called and shared information, call us and we will delete it.
13. Links to other websites
Pages link to outside sources such as City of Columbus and State of Ohio websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be noted on this page before they take effect where practical.
15. Contact
Questions about this policy can be raised by calling the number on the Site. This policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
